Controlled Power Technologies (CPT) was established in 2007 to acquire and take to market a family of CO2 reducing automotive Powertrain products developed by a global tier 1 supplier. Following market success this leading edge engineering Company based in Basildon and Coventry is now strengthening its experienced team to continue to build on the growing success of CPT, particularly with the preparation of its modular hybrid products for a number of customer applications in Europe and US through to production launch.
The role of the Electrical & Electronic Engineer will be to provide support for Advanced and Core Technology across all relevant company activities on a daily basis. Contributing to the design of Control and Power Electronics for Switched Reluctance Machines and commissioning of test equipment. The role will also contribute to the Integration of new machines into vehicle builds with regard to control and communication systems.
Candidates will preferably be degree qualified or have equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Candidates will ideally have experience of:
- Vehicle electrical and communication architectures
- Engine and Powertrain systems development
- Design, development and integration of Switched Reluctance electric machines
- Hybrid Systems, Integration, Calibration and Development
Familiarity with the use of PSpice, Matlab, Labview, Microsoft core products is required.
