Cost Estimator / Cost Engineer

£30k - 38k per year + benefits
REQUIREMENTS:
The role will be to support new business and you will work within a small team responsible for generating cost estimates getting involved at the RFQ stage.
Your skills and experience could cover either welded assemblies, pressings or Body in White gained within the automotive industry. Working on you own initiative you must be capable of building up cost calculations and have a thorough understanding of Excel spreadsheets and macro's.
This role will look at costing in its entirety from the earliest stages of new product introduction, through to project cost management and include engineering change cost implications, through to packaging and logistics.

The role would ideally suit a time served apprentice who has moved from process / manufacturing engineering into a cost estimating role. A relevant engineering or manufacturing qualification will be required.
