Manufacturing Engineer (Final Assembly)
Speke, Merseyside, England

REQUIREMENTS: We have a number of opportunities within manufacturing, across two main functions. The first is Final Assembly Process, which is where the facilities are adapted to accommodate the changes brought by new models and model year changes. This involves leading manufacturing feasibility and process development work at every stage throughout production launch. The second is Vehicle Configuration and Test System. Roles here support the electrical testing of vehicles and the validation of their feature performance - working on whole-life test systems which run from early build through to production.
DESCRIPTION: Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
VAC REQ :The two areas are very different, but the key skills required are the same. You'll need broad experience within an automotive Trim and Final environment or supply base equivalent, combined with robust project management skills. Proven leadership ability is important too, as is an understanding of process authoring, CAD product visualisation and the design of assembly principles. And to really make an impression, you must have an innovative approach to solving technical problems and developing new processes.
