Development of automotive body structures using FEA to meet defined performance targets specifically for side and rear crash. Able to run baseline CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team Leader in an efficient manner. Able to work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing, CO2 etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions.

Skills Required:
Ability to carry out development of automotive body structures using FEA to meet defined performance targets, specifically, side and rear crash. Able to build crash models of whole vehicle or sub-system using the included structure. Able to run Safety/Crash CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team Leader in an efficient manner. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing, CO2 ,etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions. Have adequate knowledge of automotive body structure crashworthiness and load paths. Following software skill are essential: Ls-Dyna and Oasys suite (Primer, T-HIS, D3plot), and Hyperworks (Mesh, Graph, View) (ver. 9). Adequate PC Skills, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skills Preferred:
Good communication skills - both written and spoken is essential.

Experience Required:
Typically 3 years experience of working in the automotive industry, involved with the development of body structures for crashworthiness using CAE methods/tool kit.

Experience Preferred:
Familiarity and experience of OEM working practices relating to CAE methods and processes. Familiarity and experience of CAD , TCe and Digibuck. Familiarity of our client's IT system. Familiarity of Occupant and Pedestrian Analysis.

Education Required:
Ideally degree educated, in a relevant field or discipline.
