Our client is part of a global organisation, this well established manufacturer of luxury vehicles is currently enjoying success within the market place. They have invested over £200m in new equipment and are at the forefront of modern manufacturing practices.
We are recruiting for a PR Resource and Global Events Manager on a 12-month contract based in Coventry.
As PR Resource and Global Events Manager, you will help to deliver 25+ major media events/programmes a year, including global drive programmes, motor show involvement, press briefings, etc.
* Manage the planning and delivery of global media drive programmes, working alongside the brand teams.
Responsibilities include venue research/evaluation, vehicle plans, guest and exec logistics, on-site management, agency selection/management, budget, etc
* Manage the planning and delivery of motorshow PR programmes including press day plans, executive/guest logistics, press conference delivery, out-of-show events, budget, etc for key global shows
* Manage the planning and delivering of other global PR events (eg technical seminars, press conferences)
* Strategic input and provide expert advice on events etc, and work with the brand and corporate teams to deliver their respective objectives
* Contribute to the development of new ways of working to deliver team and departmental objectives, both in "thinking smarter" about current process and developing new activities to suit the developing PR audiences
Skills Required:
* Strong event, budget and team management.
* Appreciation of media requirements, across both automotive and broader sectors.
* Delivery focused.
* Excellent interpersonal skills (at all levels)..
* Able and willing to travel regularly (UK and overseas), typically for short stays once/twice a month and on occasion for up to two/three weeks at a time
Skills Preferred:
* One or more foregin language
Experience Required:
Proven track record of major event/project management, delivery and budget control
Experience Preferred:
Management of events with budgets of £200k upwards. PR experience, including international media exposure, would be a major advantage
