Validation Inspection - Technician

A World leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of diesel fuel injection equipment are now looking for a Validation Inspection Technician to work on either a permanent or a contract basis. You will examine and report on the condition of engineering samples that have been subjected to durability exercises (customer and internal).
As the Validation Inspection Technician you will also undertake other support activities within the nozzle development department.
Responsibilities include:
Pre test assessment and reporting of engineering samples condition.
Post test assessment and reporting of engineering samples condition.
Use of specialised lab inspection equipment (i.e. SEM, Optical Microscopes).
Use of specialised lab measurement equipment (i.e. Zygo and Talysurf).
Use of specialised test equipment nozzle flow bench test machines.
Use of specialised fatigue robustness lab equipment.
Provide input into root cause analysis of failed parts.
Involvement in development of assessment techniques.
Involvement in improvements to Inspection laboratory and equipment.
Involvement in Total Quality ideas for department efficiency and improvement of methods.
The successful applicant will have a Higher National Certificate/City and Guilds/Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline as well as solid experience in a similar role/relevant engineering sector.
You MUST be physically fit as the role may involve some physical activity.
