The Prototype BIW Build engineer is responsible for the co-ordination of the assembly of prototype bodies. The responsibilities of the Prototype BIW Engineer are:

• Manage the daily BIW build activities.
• Interface with panel suppliers - with respect to quality, timing and modification control.
• Develop a BIW process [including sealing] and validate.
• Co-ordinate modification control, both panel and body, to ensure the trim and final requirements are integrated into the prototype body.
• Define inspection requirements and manage the dimensional quality of the BIW.
• Expedite in build issues.
• Manage the integration of the prototype bodies into the manufacturing paint facility.
• Ensure the project is completed to schedule providing a daily status.

Skills Required:
Automotive BIW assembly experience is essential to this role.

Skills Preferred:
Digital Buck and CATIA v5 experience would be advantageous. Considerable Microsoft Excel experience is beneficial.

Experience Required:
Significant and relevant automotive experience required.

Education Required:
Degree in a relevant field or subject. Equivalent, relevant automotive experience.
