Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire.

They are currently seeking to recruit an ADAMS Analyst on a 6 month contract basis to undertake modelling and analysis activities using MSC.ADAMS software to support component and vehicle design and development.

Reporting to the Simulation Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for the following:

* Building and analysing MSC.ADAMS models and test rigs
* Undertaking and reporting assessment of vehicle dynamics attributes
* Generating load data to support FE analysis in vehicle design and development programmes
* Supporting ad-hoc analysis requests in support of design and vehicle dynamics/NVH colleagues

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

* BSc or BEng or equivalent, in relevant Engineering subject (Mechanical or Automotive Engineering). Preference is for candidate to be Chartered Engineer status
* Significant experience or formal training in ADAMS software and associated pre- and post-processing tools
* Good familiarity with vehicle dynamics aspects of automotive engineering and with automotive structures at component and vehicle level


DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will be taking part in a multi-facetted team of simulation specialists applying a range of techniques to vehicle development and problem solving. Preference will therefore be given to candidates who can show demonstrate some of the following:

* Typically a minimum of 5+ years experience with ADAMS Car/View/Chassis software environments, principally acquired in an automotive industry environment
* Good knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics concepts
* Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink software and experience of software-in-the-loop/hardware-in-the-loop techniques
* Familiarity with other multi-body dynamics software
* Participation in vehicle development programme(s) including test experience
* Experience of design and analysis of heavy goods vehicles
* Experience with active chassis systems
* Experience of hybrid vehicles
* Experience of powertrain modelling
