As part of an established, motivated and fast moving team, the successful candidate would work for an experienced team leader to help deliver engine commodities across several applications. Delivery scale would be from Concept to post Launch and subsequent in field warranty support. Keys areas of responsibility, Design, development and package analysis, Virtual build support (working with Design and CAD engineers), Project management to GPDS milestones, Supplier liaison, Issue resolution, Change management.

Skills Required:
CAD Catia V5 essential. Teamcentre/Vis-mock-up desirable. Design/development engineering support experience in Automotive/Engine design. PC skills including Project, Excel and Word.

Skills Preferred:
Experience of engine fuel, exhaust manifold or pressure charging systems preferred.

Experience Required:
Experience of component delivery to meet cost, performance and attribute targets. Good understanding of engine components and requirements. Excellent communication skills. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office. Strong understanding and application of design quality tools such as DFMEA, Robustness Studies etc. Awareness of manufacturing processes associated with engine components and engine assembly. Working knowledge of product delivery system ( AIMs , GPDS and EFDVS systems) would be an advantage.

Education Required:
Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline.
