Vehicle Test Engineer

£25.60 - 25.60 per hour
Liaison with Product Engineering teams to identify critical vehicle and system attributes, essential to maximise customer satisfaction and positive media coverage. In conjunction with Manufacturing Operations and Programme departments, monitor build and preparation timing, ensuring that all vehicles are completed on time and to the required standards to support their intended objectives. In conjunction with workshop management and supervision, monitor and manage preparation of fleet vehicles, ensuring that all vehicles meet the required exacting standards in order to maintain or enhance Jaguar"s brand image. Oversee rework programmes on various vehicle fleets. Conduct Thorough "whole vehicle" appraisals, report concerns, specify necessary actions for rectification oversee rectification and confirm subsequent suitability for loans. Monitor condition of fleet vehicles between loans and in conjunction with Plant Vehicle Teams, ensure that the vehicles remain in optimum condition throughout their working life. Feedback details of all vehicle issues discovered on fleet vehicles to Engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that issues are resolved on customer vehicles. Support Media launch events, UK and Overseas. Feedback lessons learnt and drive continual process improvements.
Skills Required:
Ability to test and report Vehicle Dynamics.
Experience Required:
Vehicle refinement experience. Problem Resolution. Chassis Engineering experience with good understanding of Ride and Handling attributes.
Education Required:
HND level education or possess equivalent amount of relevant experience.
Education Preferred:
Educated to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.
