Senior/Principal Systems Engineer

Our Client is currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with in-depth knowledge of aero control systems. You will work closely with the world's leading aero engine manufacturers to develop, maintain and troubleshoot FADEC or similar safety critical systems.

Main responsibilities:

-Develop and maintain FADEC or similar safety critical control systems
-Provide design input in the definition of system requirements and develop and execute system verification and validation plans
-Technically lead projects, supervise others and review work where appropriate.

Essential Requirements are:

-Good degree in Controls/Systems/Electrical engineering or similar
-Successful track record in development of safety critical control systems.
?Minimum 5 years' experience across safety critical systems development lifecycle process.
?Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
-Knowledge of commercial or military aircraft systems.
-Willingness to travel and work overseas when required.
-EU citizenship (required due to the nature of the work re export licences)

The ideal candidate will have:

-Working knowledge of gas turbine engine principles (either aero or power generation)
-Familiarity with at least one industry standard configuration management tool (DOORS, Synergy, MKS etc.)
-Software engineering skills (C, C++, ADA, FORTRAN), MATLAB, Simulink, BEACON
-Working experience of any of the following:

-Safety critical systems requirements managemet
-FADEC test rig integration
-FADEC systems verification and validation
-low level safety critical software development
-dynamic modeling or control algorithm development
-system safety analysis (FMEA, FMECA, fault tree analysis etc.)
-flight test experience / fault diagnosis and reporting
