The company, a major employer of engineering skills in the North West, exports a large percentage of its production to European Community Markets. The business"s future success and development is dependent upon the application of leading-edge information technology in all aspects of design, manufacture, procurement and logistics. They are currently looking to recruit on a contract basis a Design Engineer to work from their base in Lancashire for an initial period of 6-months.
You will need to have prior Design Engineer experience within the automotive sector and have experience of working on Engine Installation, Chassis Systems, Commercial Body and Components. You must have previous experience of dealing with ProEngineer software and 60% of your time will be spent working the design and modification of CAD drawings. The other 40% of your time will be spent primarily on the project management side including manufacturing and dealing with suppliers.
