Our client is responsible for the sales of many components and systems supplied to UK based customers.
They are looking for a Resident Engineer to work on a major project, which is part of one of their customers, Gen2.1 infotainment system. You will be located in Coventry primarily, and later on in Gaydon as necessary and reporting to the project manager who will be based in Germany.

Your responsibilities will be primary technical window at the customer for this development project Provide customer with specialist expertise related to the development project Build strong relationships with the customer's Engineering contacts To understand and highlight customer concerns, and priorities and work with others to generate solutions. Work collaboratively with the company business unit and support the activities and timescales of the project team to achieve the agreed project milestones and deliverables. Represent the company business unit in customer meetings. Maintain project related data in customer tools (project management, quality etc.). Support requirement specification and clarification (with the customer) incl. CRQ handling, knowing the tooling (System Weaver, DOORS). Support Deliveries to/from the customer (e.g. flash new SW). Support fault handling, understand faults reported by the customer, be familiar with the fault handling systems at the company (MMS) and at customer site (E-Tracker), trace faults at customer sites. Support product launch, trace/solve difficulties with series production at customer site.
You should have a background in project management and electrical engineering. Experience of vehicle development either with OEM or Tier-1 supplier. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Be able to deal with customers at all levels. You will possess a clean driving licence and will be able and willing to travel regularly You will need strong communication skills You will have a flexible approach to working hours to ensure business needs are covered Experience with MOST-based infotainment systems is desirable.
