Client Information
My client a leading Automotive manufacturing company who are enjoying a sustained period of growth require an experience Electronics Design Engineer to join their established team

Job description
-Design according to company procedures mechatronic products that meet specified customer and internal requirements and are profitable.
-Design embedded software that satisfies specified requirements.
-Produce design project documentation that is thorough and accurate and gains the approval of the department Manager.
-Verify designs so that all failures to meet requirements are discovered.
-Make design changes that are evaluated for feasibility, cost and timing, and implemented with care and thoroughness, gaining the approval of the Manager.
-Provide effective technical support to the satisfaction of manufacturing departments on design matters relating to products being introduced into, or already in, production, e.g. supporting PPAP, APQP and FMEA.
-Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing to obtain new business and also direct to external customers.
-The role will involve international travel, including potential training overseas

Key skills and experience
-Candidates should be Degree educated in Electronics or Software Engineering or physics or other related field and industry experience
-Electronics design work using microcontrollers to control actuators according to switch and sensor inputs.
-Awareness, training and experience in customer quality processes such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
-Experience of "CAN" or other in-vehicle bus system would be preferred
-Software writing using the C language in real time embedded applications.
-Involvement in best practice electronic/software development process.
-Experience of Design for volume manufacture.
