As part of its strategy of developing solutions to reduce CO2 emissions Valeo has recently acquired the Electric Supercharger business of a British automotive technology development company.
With this move, Valeo becomes the first automotive supplier to offer its customers a range of electric superchargers. Unlike exhaust-driven turbochargers, electric superchargers are driven by an electric motor.
They are looking for an enthusiastic Application Engineer who will be integrated in this start up entity where they will make a difference.
As the Application Engineer you will encompass the following tasks and responsibilities:
First level support to the customer regarding all questions regarding component integration.
Testing and measurement of system parameters.
Application of adjustable system parameters to achieve optimal system performance.
Presentation of system performance to customer and management.
Ensure application of VALEO standards.
The successful applicant must have recent relevant industrial experience is essential.
Experience in mechanical design in automotive applications with knowledge of Requirement Engineering tools e.g. DOORS.
Team player, good communication skills.
Mindset of continuous improvement.
Experience of working to a structured product development methodology in the Automotive (or similar) sector would be ideal.
