Client is a prestigious automotive manufacturer, currently seeking to recruit a Calibration Specialist on a 12 month contract basis, following recent organisational changes.

The individual will be responsible for:

* Ensuring that all production equipment achieve calibration statuary requirements.
* Initiate customer protection with the investigation of potentially affected product planning.
* Creating, maintaining and monitoring the Calibration schedule to ensure that all calibration testing is carried out in a timely manner.
* Identify and implement any change requirements.
* Maintenance and development of procedures.
* Scheduling and reporting of calibration testing
* Conducting audits and controlling corrective actions.
* Robust and accurate record keeping, demonstrating traceability to appropriate standards.

Independence, Responsibility, Decisions:

* Specifying calibration frequencies
* Supplier negotiation and selection
* Actions to be taken for analysis and retesting
* Input to key process changes


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly motivated and committed
* IT literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), competent with relevant SAP system / requirements
* Specialist technical knowledge of measurement equipment processes, equipment and facilities
* Technical knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
