plans. Operating from a number of sites across the UK they manufacture a range
of complex pressings, assemblies and stampings to a prestigious portfolio of
OEMs in the UK and Europe.

Due to a significant programme of investment to support new business they are
now looking to recruit a talented and technically competent Assembly Engineer.

Job Requirements

Working as part of the assembly engineering team the post will report to the
Assembly Engineering Manager. This team operates within a matrix structure as
part of the Group Engineering function, which means at any one time you could
be working on a wide variety of projects, with a specific remit for the
successful integration of advanced automated assembly equipment. This could
range from discreet robotic assembly and welding cells to complete fully
automated assembly lines.

As part of this challenging role you will be responsible for preparing detailed
equipment specification, RFQ's and conducting equipment tender evaluation. The
role will require an element of travel to both operating sites and equipment
suppliers, both in the UK and abroad.

An understanding of process FMEA's and Lean Manufacturing principles will be
required together with an ability to problem solve at both plant and equipment
level.

Details

To be considered for this role you must have experience of working within a
fast paced assembly environment with significant experience of introducing
advanced technology capital equipment projects.

Qualifications for the role will be either apprentice trained and qualified to
HNC level, or degree qualified with real hands on experience of successful
equipment specification, evaluation, sign off and installation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team at a period of
expansion and the chance to work on some very exciting engineering projects.
