Our client is a leading developer of high quality custom image sensors to external customers in the Defence and Space markets such as NASA and ESA prime contractors. This role is commutable from Basildon, Bishop"s Stortford, Chelmsford, Harlow and Great Baddow.

Customer-focussed, the PA Engineer's role is to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded through proper planning and control, and in the event of any problem to ensure that appropriate root cause investigation takes place and that corrective and preventive action is planned, tested and implemented.

The Chief PA Engineer will manage the team of 2 other permanent PA engineers and 1 Product Assurance Assistant providing guidance and support. And will also represent customers as a focus point for Project Quality issues.

You will be responsible for PA plans, Engineering to production handover, Product release, Failure analysis and corrective action, Customer complaint resolution, Product and Process auditing, Managing improvements, Customer inspections and external audits and advising/reviewing the PA of potential new projects.

Essential Experience: In depth and high level experience of product assurance in Aerospace or Defence industries. People management experience or demonstrated ability to manage a team. Management of both subcontractors and space agency primes.
