Lead Calibration Engineer.
Skills Required:
Calibration of own Labels, Builds Calibration. Developing initial software. Building Initial calibration for testbed and vehicle. Responsible for checking calibration changes - i.e. unsmooth, gross errors. Checking and resolving calibration conflicts. Checking ownership. Compilation and build of calibration. Deliver regular reference calibration to calibration teams. Deliver release calibration to agreed integration points. Label ownership conflicts and calibration of unloved Labels. Environmental Test Trips and calibration, Climate testing program leader. Co-ordination of calibration issues. Vehicle build support- prototype and production builds. Support Critical non-critical vehicle fleet - e.g. flashing of master spec cars. Reference calibration issues management and resolution. First point of contact for calibration issue diagnosis. Maintenance of open issues list - includes tracking issues from other teams. Road Release Process. Lead pre-calibration process for all new functions. Co-ordination with COC"s to produce a valid calibration. SSD checks process and understanding. Supply appropriate calibrations for different tests/locations. Both DYNO and VEHICLE. Calibration release process adherence. Both development and production calibration releases. Liaise and Schedule Non -P and E functional owners. Support of the EMS calibration CPMT. Support external COC"s requirements. Calibration vehicle fleet. Prioritisation of calibration vehicles. Process Tracking and Status Reporting. Database Management. Label ownership assignment. CRETA user support and guidance. Schedule and lead weekly DAT meetings. Target growth curve setting. Database history management and error tracking. Clear communication of data location and calibration storage.
Experience Required:
Two years or more experience with automotive Power Train/EMS gasoline/diesel projects.
Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level.
