Main Duties
The postholder will be covering all aspects of Quality within the organisation to ensure the companys' AS9100 accreditation is maintained. The Quality Manager will be expected to raise the profile of Quality and develop a culture of Quality within the business


Job description
-Ensure that all aspects of the companies Quality System continue to meet the requirements of AS9100 Rev C when audited by customers and third parties.
-Responsible for all Quality documentation being current, updated in a timely manner to reflect any changes to the system and ensure employees are aware of these changes.
-Ensure all employees are aware of the QP's and SOP's relevant to them, so that they fully understand their responsibilities and the importance of adherence to these procedures.
-Ensure annual Quality audit schedules are developed, adhered to and all audits are closed out in a timely manner.
-The calibration schedule is maintained
-Collect accurate quality costs and analysis of this information to identify areas for improvement
-Liaison with customers and suppliers as required as part of the resolution of Quality issues
-Ensure accurate Quality information is submitted in a timely manner to the Technical Manager for inclusion in the Technical Services Monthly Report.
• Will be responsible for resolving non conformances, identifying the root cause and implementing corrective actions



Key skills and experience
-Candidates should have experience in metals industry - forging, rolling, heat treatment, stockholding, ideally with nickel based alloys
-Must currently be a Quality Engineer with experience of working to and maintaining a company's AS9100 accreditation and experience of ISO9001 systems
-Experience in carrying out internal and external audits and hosting 3rd party audits
-Will be working to Rolls Royce or other aerospace OEM's Quality requirements
-Candidates would have experience of working to Oil and Gas specifications, or from the Aerospace or Automotive sectors
-Previous experience of writing procedures and training personnel
