Gillingham, Kent, England

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for a Validation Engineer.

As the Validation Engineer the main duties will be drawn from the following:
Plan, organise and prepare prototype components and test facilities for validation tests.
Design special tests to validate all identified failure modes.
Analysis of components and assemblies on completion of tests.
Identification of root cause of failures, using 8D tool.
Collate test data, data analysis and summary reporting. Statistical Weibull analysis as required.
Maintain test database with running time and test status.
Interpretation of validation results.
Participate in team that maintains and tracks DFMEA.
Problem solving - apply a methodical and logical approach to problem solving based on fundamental engineering principals.
Development of validation test, measurement and inspection facilities.
Participate in team orientated activities – engage support from outside the team where necessary to ensure team objectives are met.
As the Validation Engineer you will hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline with significant experience in component engineering – design and development or validation, preferably within the automotive industry.


Must have excellent communication skills and able to communicate via reports, memos and presentations for which the successful candidate will need to be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
