A leading mechanical handling systems company require an experienced Estimator due to continued growth, the company has grown to become a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial lifting equipment systems and technology to a variety of industry sectors
Job description
-Interpret customer engineering drawings / concepts, electronic data and specifications
-Responsible for providing the engineering estimating duties as required in customer work packages and looking to improve on original design
-Candidates will be responsible for all Estimating duties in relation to specific projects
-Liaising direct with external customers and internal teams to provide high levels of service and accurate estimations on projects
-Previous experience of working on bespoke large scale mechanical engineering projects would be an advantage
-To identify all requirements, to provide best practice design and liaising with Supply Chain, Sales Team and Production Team to provide competitive costs and lead times
-Development manufacturing process steps required to manufacture in accordance with customer requirements
Key skills and experience
-Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production engineering discipline
-Candidates should have a strong fabrication knowledge and background.
-Ideally from a Mechanical handling or structural engineering background
