Facilities Technician

World renowned R&D centre based in the Midlands are seeking a Facilities Technician on a 6-month fixed term contract.
As Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carry out maintenance and installation of engine test facility instrumentation equipment.
- Carry out calibration and general instrumentation work required by the test department.
- Wiring up of machines and some facilities.
- Carry out basic test facility maintenance.
- Work in a safe manner at all times in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
Applicants are expected to have experience in the following areas:
- Test and calibration equipment.
- Instrumentation and measuring technologies such as pressure, temperature, flow and speed control.
- Single and three phase plant control systems.
- Engine Test control software and associated systems.
- Production of prototype electrical/electronic equipment from diagrams.
- Electrical/electronic fault finding and rectification on machines and test beds.
- Basic electrical/electronic circuit design.
Time served in Electrical/Electronics with a City and Guilds/ONC or HNC in Electronics is desirable. However, a College Leaver or similar with suitable enthusiasm and aptitude would also be considered.
