Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
They currently have a 12 month contract opportunity for a Project Engineer to work within their busy Product Development division.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Management of issues, driving of issue resolution and tracking of the correct geometry in conjunction with cost reduction activities in support of virtual series
* Facilitation and progression of prototype and production component and tooling engineering releases (T and P releases) and the tracking of component maturity
* Evaluate the progress of Quality, Cost, Functional and Timing status for all engineering areas
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Project Planning and Control skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-confidence and a "passion for the product"
* Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision
* Ability to assist in the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
* Previous experience within Core Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Launch experience are desirable as is a good knowledge of product development processes.
* Experience of project or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost-effective delivery
* Qualified to HND/degree level.
* Must have a full driving licence as inter-site travel required.
