PAT Leader Vehicle Dynamics

£30 - 35 per hour
Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire.
They currently have a long term contract opportunity for a PAT Leader for Vehicle Dynamics and NVH, responsible for leading the Product Attribute Team (PAT) on products with respect to ride, handling and steering.
Reporting to the Department Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Leading the Vehicle Dynamics PAT
* Chair necessary PAT meetings
* Plan suitable CAE, and test and development, programmes to ensure that the vehicles achieve the target performance level
* Liaise with programme and chassis teams
* Liaise with other attribute leaders and teams to achieve optimum performance trade off
* Deliver all appropriate data and information into systems for key gateways
* Attend regular programme and attribute meetings
* Preparation for, and support of, Vehicle Drive Appraisals
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree qualified in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
* Track record in automotive vehicle dynamics development
* Experience of objective and subjective dynamics test procedures
* Knowledge of ADAMS simulation capabilities
* Team leadership/programme management experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Awareness/knowledge of JLR processes and systems
* Understanding of eFDVS, AIMS, FMS etc.
* Knowledge of SIMPACK simulation capabilities
