We are looking for a Quality Manager for a leading specialist manufacture to the oil, gas and power generation sectors. Based at their UK Office in Wolverhampton this role leading the quality department for a bespoke specialist manufacturer with over 40 years' experience in supplying Flanges, Pressure Fittings and Pipes for the offshore, petrochemical and power generation industries.

The successful candidate will either be an experienced Quality Manager or Senior Engineer looking to move into a managerial role from the Oil and Gas industry. You will ideally have been supplying into highly regulated/critical industries such as Nuclear or Aerospace, been involved with QA systems development and auditing.

Knowledge of Petrochemical/Oil and Gas Quality Standards together with working practices to ISO 9001 Accreditations.
Metallurgical knowledge or experience, ideally with Quality Assurance qualifications however this is not essential.
Someone from a Forging, Heavy Machining or Steels background would be viewed advantageously.
Knowledge of ASTM steels (Carbon, Austenitic, Duplex, or Nickel Base Alloys).

Our client supplies low volume bespoke components up to 4 tonnes in weight so this role will require a person with the ability to liaise closely with various suppliers including Testing departments, Heat Treatment and Inspection Authorities. This will require a methodical, organised and accurate person with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects simultaneously. Fully IT literate with all Microsoft packages.
