Our client is a world-leader in the provision of project management, technical engineering and construction services to the Water industry, on programs ranging from Water Supply, Treatment and Storage to Water Resources Management and Coastal Restoration. They are currently looking to appoint a Civil Engineer at their Peterborough office on a contract basis.

As Civil Engineer, you will provide superior quality engineering design services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts.

You will have responsibility for:
- Producing civil design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively
- Working to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department
- Ensuring co-ordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external, in order to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are co-ordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole
- Maintaining files and records throughout the duration of contracts
- Assisting in supervising and developing staff

Applicants should possess the following skills/ experience:
- Understand the principles of Water and Sewage treatment
- Have experience of controlling members of staff in designing civil aspects of Water and Sewage treatment plants

You will be Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering and ideally possess previous experience in the Water industry.
