Design Analyst - £33,000 - Automotive - County Durham
A Design Analyst / Stress Engineer is required with experience of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to work as part of a team working within the Automotive Manufacturing sector. My client is part of a market leading global company.
You will be involved in projects from initial meetings through to delivery and will be producing clear and accurate designs in line with project specifications for a market leading mechanical handling company.
You will be supporting a product through the product design process from pre-concept to full production. Responsibilities include,
- Carry out FEA work in accordance with Project schedules
- Identify potential design problems and solutions.
- Produce clear reports detailing the performance of the completed design
- Liaise with customers' Engineers to achieve design requirements
- Ensure that all FEA work carried-out to department standards.
- Ensure departmental project compliance with TS16949
Candidates should have excellent understanding of Finite Element Analysis along with a good understanding of structural mechanics and materials. Ideally candidates should have experience of working with the following software: MSC Nastran, Patran, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, Radioss
