Design Manager - Large Marine Construction Project - £Exc

Urgent Role with Excellent Salary

An experienced Design Manager with large marine project experience is required for a Merseyside construction project. Applicants must be experienced in managing the design process and identifying design risks and solutions to support the business.
Ideally you will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering and be an active member of the ICE.
A background in the development and execution of design procurement strategy including managing technical expectations and co-ordinating specialist support services would be preferred.

Previous experience at a senior level of design management in the following arenas:
?Detail design and documentation
?Production design and associated specifications
?Design authority documentation and approvals
?Marine and harbour design experience
?Quay wall and Capping beam
?Container Pavement Design
?Container Port Hardware e.g. Ship to Shore Crane, CRMG etc

Successfully achieving authority approvals in line with tender/design/build requirements with specific experience of managing HMO and MMO orders / applications.

?Experience in developing, administering and maintaining project conversion and design programs
?Exceptional planning and negotiation skills are required along with a strong customer focus
?Ability to analyse all relevant information and identify innovative and effective solutions to issues
and problems
?Ability to apply and maintain a business perspective that is reflected in every decision and action
?Experience of managing design solutions to the client's budget
?Strong commercial awareness.

Experience in education, commercial, retail waste and healthcare sectors would be ideal but certainly experience across several of these sectors would be required
