An ETO (Special Vehicle) Chassis project Engineer is required to support a major new development within a market leading design/manufacture of high end luxury/SUV/off-road vehicles based in the West Midlands.
This role is part of an exciting new expansion of the Engineering to Order team to meet increasing demands with the launch of future models within the Special Vehicle division, Wheels section.
Your role will be to :
- Project Manage engineering delivery from concept to production of wheels and related products, within a team of 17 engineers.
- Project managing and engineering wheels for a given programme for the full life of a vehicle delivery programme.
- Understand the product development process including FMEA"S, DVP.
- Tracking and managing suppliers ensuring testing is completed.
- Organising tests and be the single point contact for a given programme for the Engineered to order (Special Vehicles) chassis engineering tea.
You must:
- Have Chassis engineering experience, esp. wheel engineering.
- Be able to read engineering drawing data and understand and use engineering standards and specifications.
And preferably experience of:
- Wheel engineering delivery a major advantage (some training can be given)
- Catia V5 knowledge useful, Digi-buck.
- Ideally Engineering degree level although other engineering qualifications are applicable based on experience .City and Guilds min.
