Electronic Systems Integration Engineer
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England
£28 - 35 per hour + ?28 - ?35 per hour

The role s primary focus is to develop electrical system concepts and designs for earthmoving machines products designed and developed in Europe. This will include coordination on sub-system designs, collaborating on electrical system requirements and ensuring schematics are developed and delivered on time. Electrical systems that are integrated may include engine, transmission, drivetrain, braking, steering, implement, operator interfaces, monitoring systems, lighting and power systems.
Design and develop machine electrical systems based off of machine system requirements, from concept to production
Develop and coordinate the delivery of electrical system schematics.
Collaborate with systems and component engineers to select fit-for-purpose electrical components
Perform electrical system load analysis studies
Manage the development of a complete system bill of materials for use in cost and quality analysis
Collaborate with harness design team on electrical system design, deliveries, schedules
Develop electrical system end of line (EOL) test procedures and documentation provided to EOL test cart supplier
Manage and report on electrical system development status
Technical background in design, analysis, and test of mobile electrical systems (machinery, automotive, aerospace)
Electrical schematic development, detailing and analysis
Proficient in use of Pro Engineer, Pro Routed System Design or highly similar systems and tools
Innovate and execute on design trade-offs for cost, quality, and functionality
Very familiar with harness design methods
Essential:
Demonstrated a technical and professional knowledge of the engineering fundamentals.
Demonstrated work experience with complex heavy duty mobile machine or engine electrical systems or automotive or aerospace applications
Experience electrical system design and load analysis
Experience using Pro Engineer/ Pro Diagram (or similar electrical system design tools) to design and detailing electrical systems
Experience with properties of electrical components
Experience of communicating technical information to team members and colleagues within other technical work groups.
Demonstrated evidence of resolving technical issues


Desirable:
Knowledge and experience with earthmoving equipment.
Experience with remote interfacing with clients and suppliers
Knowledge of requirements management tools
Provide focus on the customer and their needs
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams
Experience in contributing to Failure Mode Effects Analysis
BSc in Engineering or equivalent preferably in electrical engineering
