Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
The main duties will involve:
- Final Engineering sign off and delivery into production of the initial phase of new product development within advanced electric vehicle (EV) programme.
- Development of detail plans for future programme phases through to sign off with parent company and implementation.
- Issue management and reporting to include interaction within the change management process.
- Refining and developing key programme processes throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Financial tracking and reporting for the complete project.
- Organising and preparing for gateway reviews, and presenting papers where required.
This highly challenging position would suit a qualified individual who has a proven background within Project Management with experience of leading project teams in the delivery of new product innovation and implementation. There will be a degree of travel both throughout the UK, Mainland Europe and Asia to ensure technical innovations and product development activities are managed within time and budgetary constraints. This role requires a logical thinking individual who has strong leadership skills in managing a team of Engineers in delivering projects within time and budgetary constraints for a world class automotive organisation.
