Our client provides proprietary products and innovative systems for automotive components, protect and repair construction materials and metal surfaces treatments.

You`ll be reporting to the Operations Director ensuring the Quality and Environmental Systems are maintained in accordance with the required standards. You must be competent with ISO9001:2000, TS16949 and ISO 14001 accreditations and be able to audit internally against the said accreditations.

The role comprises of managing (1 Quality Engineer and 1 Administration person), train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor all staff reporting to you; it`s a very hands on role with a firm that are in the process of change. The career path is not pre determined and there are natural options to move up to Snr Quality Manager level within this division or another division of the wider group.

You will take responsibly for the paperwork systems required by the Production Department to ensure the successful processing of customers components. This will involve certain elements of an SQE role which will allow you to meet suppliers and customers; you must be happy with this although not necessarily have previous experience of doing so.

Proven Quality Engineer experience is a must, ideally in mainstream Automotive (or Tier 1/2 OEM) or Aerospace as the company supply into both sectors. Significant Quality methodology understanding is a pre requisite and in particular Root Cause Analysis and prepare 8D reports.

This is a permanent role and an immediate start, salary is market competitive and negotiable on experience.
