This company is based close to Dudley and are looking to recruit experienced, hands on PU Foam Process Engineer. You will be required to provide technical expertise to the seating business working closely with Programme Managers, Quality Manager and Production staff.
The role will include the following responsibilities:

Supports the root cause analysis to address product quality and scrap issues on all conventional foam and FIP product lines.
Re-visit PFMEA to address risks for each foam and FIP product on a regular basis with the Quality Engineers.
Support the Engineering Change Process as needed.
Develop special tooling costs for unique foaming applications.
Develop and maintain effective "company product-specific" outside fixture and tooling suppliers that will be utilised during the program launch process for all products that fall within your assigned realm of responsibility.
Develop formal relationships with other foam and FIP equipment manufacturers to be kept up to speed on new technology developments in the FIP equipment process.
Generate and champion implementation of multiple Continuous Improvement Ideas on existing conventional foam and FIP product lines.
Verifies polyurethane foam equipment is operating within design specifications.
Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting foam process equipment.
Already our client has quick change carousel systems capable of producing bespoke foams, complex profiles and multi-cavity processes. Their capability also includes MDI system and quick-change derivative swap.

Ideally you will be degree qualified in a related discipline with a proven manufacturing background in a PU Foam product development capacity, preferably from the automotive industry.
