A Concept Programme Lead Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
The Concept Programme Lead Engineer works as part of the Advanced Engineering team to cover all elements of Electrical including, Feature Definition, Package, Components Function, System Operation and Attributes. Co-ordination of APC activities with base EE department. Manage all Electrical pre-activities for assigned Programmes. Collate and maintain Electrical Investment, Material Cost and Resource status for assigned Programmes. Ensure alignment between EE and programmes teams, other CoCs, other functions e.g. service, manufacturing etc. Ensure targets cascaded from the programme to EE are appropriate to required content and achievable - cost, investment, weight. Creation of Programme Assumptions Pack for reference of Electrical mainstream at and onwards.

Skills Required:
Knowledge and understanding of GPDS and EE GPDS deliverables and framework. Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work with minimum supervision.
Skills Preferred:
Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent open communication and organisational skills. An understanding of OEM Electrical Engineering systems, systems integration, EE architectures, components, practices and the processes involved with system design / development within the corporate programme timing standard. It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to degree level in an engineering subject and will have significant experience in an engineering environment. In addition to being self-motivated, applicants should also have good interpersonal and team working skills.
