The Company is a discrete semiconductor design, packaging and testing supplier to four major market segments (aerospace, power, RF and sensors).

They are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to coordinate and carry out Quality Engineering activities as agreed with the Quality Manager You will provide engineering and system support for the quality assurance activities, helping to maintain the business management system by monitoring the success through customer feedback and audit.

Where issues are identified then you will be expected to work with the appropriate people to lead improvement activities using the appropriate Quality tool to structure the improvement process.

You will be a point of contact for our customers and will be expected to host 2nd and 3rd parts audits as appropriate.

You will be the prime quality signatory for customer communications, contract review and certificates of conformance.

• You will hold a minimum HNC or equivalent in a science, engineering or management systems discipline.
• You will have worked in an ISO9001 environment, more preferably an AS9100 and/or ISO14000 certified.
• You will be at least an ISO9001:2008 certified auditor and preferably also have auditing experience of AS9100 and or ISO14000 processes.
• If you have a formal green or even Black Belt qualification, so much the better. You will certainly have worked in with an organisation that embraces Continuous Improvement philosophies and methodologies.
• You will ideally have worked within an electronics manufacturing environment
• A working knowledge of using quality tools such as 6S, 8D, RCA is expected as is a proven track record of process improvement.
• Self motivated, professional and confident with excellent customer facing skills, you should be able to demonstrate a desire to uphold Quality Engineering philosophies across the supply chain.
• In addition, you will be able to communicate at all levels, including quick, concise and accurate report writing and have excellent IT and data analysis skills
