A Project Engineer to deliver in Vehicle Touchscreens is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Description
Position Description:
The Project Manager / Engineer will be responsible for the development and delivery of a touchscreen into our client’s vehicle programmes.

Job Requirements
This will involve:
•Creation, monitoring and control of the project timing to meet the vehicle timing requirements
•Communication of the required specification timing with the respective feature and system owners
•Monitoring and status reporting of the specification status
•Working closely with the touchscreen supplier to ensure delivery schedule is adhered to at the correct feature maturity and quality levels
•Creation of test plans and co-ordination of testing
•Monitoring and status reporting of the plan to achieve on time ""Engineering Sign Off""
•Lead issue resolution with the supplier to ensure ""Parts Supply Warrant"" targets are met.

Skills Required:
Project management skills. Knowledge of issue management and component release processes. Capability of working in a pro-active and pressured environment. Knowledge and application of quality and problem solving tools. Ability to interact and communicate at all levels within the business, suppliers and customers.

Details
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of MOST/CAN based infotainment systems. Experience of human interface (HMI) design. Experience of in vehicle control systems. Full UK driving license.

Experience Required:
Previous Project Management and leadership behaviours. Proven delivery performance. Capability to work individually or as part of a team.

Education Required:
Degree educated in an Engineering or Project Management discipline. Recognised Project Management qualifications.
