A Technical Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Whitley, West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
Technical Engineer with specialist electronics skills. Role will involve in depth electronics study of vehicle components and support of troubleshooting activities. Applicant will also need to carry out administrative tasks to support technical activities.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Skill in electronic circuit design, design calculations and simulation. Good interpersonal skills. Awareness of the special requirements of automotive applications. Creative problem solving skills. Extensive knowledge of failure modes of components. Must be able to show initiative.
Skills Preferred:
Software skills (especially C-language and Simulink/Stateflow) would be useful.
Details
Experience Required:
Experience in the design and validation of electronic modules. Experience in the review of electronic circuit designs Experience in troubleshooting. Automotive electronics experience.
Education Required:
Minimum of a degree in electronics or a subject with considerable electronics content.
Additional Information:
Will be expected to also work at the Gaydon site, when required.
