A Micro Hybrid / Full Hybrid Control Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Description
Position Description:
Development of the vehicle controls algorithm and new functionality for Micro Hybrid or Full Hybrid vehicles. Test and simulation through Simulink/Stateflow/Target Link. Documentation including model specifications and calibration guides. Accountable to Manager of the Hybrid Controls Team.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Automotive experience and knowledge of powertrain control is required. Experience in writing and maintaining requirements for control software for real-time embedded systems. Experience in turning high level requirements into control code. Capable of validating the control code through use of software validation tools and in the HIL environment. Capable in Simulink and preferably Target Link. Would consider lower levels of Simulink experience if balance by experience in auto code generation and real time embedded systems. Experience of DOORS requirements management tool desirable. Experience of liaising with suppliers on control and software related issues. An electronic/software background would be a minimum for this role.
Skills Preferred:
Experience of PT controls. Experience of other system control systems. Auto code generation and real time embedded systems. Experience in liaising with suppliers on control issues and software. Creation of control software in Target link.
Details
Experience Preferred:
Experience in software environment including C+, capability to use software quality tools and processes.
Education Preferred:
MSc in Control Engineering
