A Functional Safety Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Functional Safety Engineer
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Hazard identification & classification, safety requirements derivation, design analysis, V&V planning, safety case writing.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of ISO26262 or IEC61508 or equivalent standards in the railway, defence or nuclear sectors. Systems engineering, failure mode avoidance, FMEA, requirements cascade, design analysis together with the ability to write reports.
Details
Experience Required:
Automotive systems or other embedded systems.
Experience Preferred:
Automotive chassis systems.
Education Required:
Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Education Preferred:
Qualification in Functional Safety or System Safety.
Additional Information:
Will move to Gaydon some time during the contract.
