Quality Engineer

We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for a major automotive manufacturer of structural systems, to offer and effective support to Manufacturing to ensure effective communication with all customers, suppliersand internal colleagues on all quality related issues.
Principal Accountabilities:
1.Ensure the objective management of all designated quality projects ensuring quality standards are maintained and programme targets met within the overall framework of business objectives.
2.Liaison with customers to ensure effective feedback and implementation of actions resulting in successful resolution of customer complaints
3.Work within improvement teams, ensuring corrective actions are robust and effectively implemented
4.Responsibility for making informed decisions regarding line stoppages due to quality problems
5.Assist in the training of quality awareness, working with Leading Hands, Production Supervisors and Production Manager.
6.Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
7.To contribute to continuous improvement activity within the business.
8.Prepare PPAP and submit, including production of sample parts.
9.Maintain measurement equipment including RandR studies
10.Monitor and analyse process capability including data collection.
11.Arrange all necessary activities to react to customers complaints.
Ideally degree-qualified but minimum HNC level engineering (or equivalent), with at least 3 years experience within a quality environment,within an automotive manufacturing environment.
