Description
Our client is a global sugar, cereal sweetener, starch and citric acid processing company and through their Technology Group they offer technical solutions, consultancy services and speciality sugar related products throughout the world.

Job Requirements
Purpose of Job:
Plan and supervise a range of raw sugar projects from feasibility to hand over, meeting project objectives for safety, cost, schedule, quality and customer service. Includes support for international operations assignments and overseas clients to engineer, project manage and commission our clients processes.

Main Accountabilities:
•Plan and supervise a range of raw sugar factory and/or mill projects from feasibility to hand over, meeting project objectives for safety, cost, schedule, quality and customer service
•Supervise project scope change, risk and variations as necessary
•Manage and carry out visits to client’s equipment suppliers premises to conduct technical audits, discussions, plant surveys, and process commissioning
•Enhance relationships with clients and equipment suppliers and keep regular contact
•Plan and estimate costs for resource and equipment
•Assess suitability of technical content of proposals
•Manage and help prepare specifications to determine equipment capacities and sizes
•Manage and help prepare design documents and operating manuals.

Performance Measures:
•Delivery of projects including the following (where applicable in scope and responsibility):
-Zero Safety Incidents
-Cost versus plan
-Procurement versus plan
-Construction rate versus plan
-Satisfactory commissioning to plan
-Completion/Acceptance test performance
•Update and report weekly priorities to the Projects & Engineering Manager.
•Report engineering status monthly to the Projects & Engineering Manager.
•Prioritise and ensure completion of work during periods of heavy workload.

Skills & Knowledge:
•Educated to degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical engineering
•Has extensive Project Management experience on large scale /multi process projects
•Operations and sugar industry experience in milling and raw sugar factory operations, processes and procedures
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Highly skilled in planning and executing multiple activities
•Proven management skills involving medium to large teams
•Highly developed Health & Safety, planning and organisational skills
•Project Financial and Commercial acumen and awareness.
