Stores / Warehouse Supervisor

Our Yorkshire-based client is a global Tier 2 designer and manufacturer of advanced electronic and electromechanical (mechatronic) products for the automotive industry including control units, sensors, monitors and motors.
Main Responsiblities
Provide support and assistance to the Logistics Manager to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives. Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of Warehousing best practices, Labour Planning strategy, and best operating practice experience along with your ability to manage and motivate your team and display Continuous Improvement behaviours
Job description
- Directly responsible for controlling raw material / component / Finished Goods
- Manage, lead and motivate the Stores Team Leaders and Operators
- Develop and maintain processes to undertake regular physical and system stock checks
- Optimise SAP Warehouse Management and Inventory Management system
- Responsible for developing and managing proactive working relationship with internal/external Suppliers and Customers to provide continuous smooth functioning of the Stores whilst promoting high standards of Customer Service
- Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers and customers
- Comply with Health and Safety Standards in accordance with Company policy and legislation
Key skills and experience
- Candidates should have experience from a high volume logistics/warehouse environment
- Previous experience and strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Inventory Control within a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with SAP systems preferred , or other MRP systems considered
- Candidate should have experience of working in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment
