A Powertrain Quality Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Essex.
Description
PowerTrain Quality reporting, process improvement, analysis & 6-Sigma. Project manage PowerTrain Quality reporting in support of Regional and Global meeting governance. Generate supporting Quality data, from standard BSAQ reports through to bespoke analysis/reporting. Manage all aspects of the weekly Powertrain Quality Review (PTQR). Guide and support the Engineering teams in the execution of Current Model Quality elements and adherence to Global Quality Improvement Process (GQIP) standards. Support the Functional Quality (VFG#) Leaders with data/analysis to identify priority areas for investigation/resolution. Incorporate changes from Global initiatives and develop recommendations for current model process/governance improvements.

Skills Required:
Strong organisation and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and willingness to support challenging time constraints. High level of enthusiasm and energy to maintain momentum within a diverse Team. Proven data handling skills with initiative/creativity to analyse complex data sets and identify priority Quality issues. User of AWS/Data cube. PC skills: Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint (Advanced), SharePoint (Competent), Outlook (Competent), Word (Competent).
Skills Preferred:
Statistical Analysis. The candidate should also be prepared for a limited travel within Europe if required. Advanced user of SharePoint.

Experience Required:
Job experience in Automotive Product Development (e.g. Component/System Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering).
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge and experience in the application of modern Quality and Statistical Tools & Methods (6-Sigma / G8D). Knowledge/user of BSAQ & GQRS.
Education Required:
Educated to Degree level (Engineering / Mathematics).
Education Preferred:
6-Sigma Green Belt trained.
