Project Design Director - Interim

Our client manufactures cables and umbilicals for the off-shore power generation and deep sea oil industries.
As part of their planned development they are looking for an Interim Project Design Director to join them during these exciting times and applications are welcome from candidates that meet the criteria below: The holder of this post will be responsible for the design and technical specification of cable and umbilical solutions to meet customer project requirements. The role covers concept design through general assembly and detailed design.
You will be managing a large professional design team. The team members are working simultaneously on numerous projects and work from several offices. Together they form virtual teams that respond to their clients needs. You must be able to respond proactively to change, have a proven ability to develop novel problem solving strategies and be able develop the strengths of the team working for you.
Experience of change management would be very welcome, as would experience of the design and manufacture of high value bespoke items.
Chartered engineers with specific experience of offshore cable, pipeline, umbilical or connector equipment industry are particularly encouraged to apply.
