A World leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment are now looking for a Heavy Duty OBD Specialist to analyse the requirements of international legislative and diagnostic requirements and lead their implementation within heavy duty diesel control systems.

The Heavy Duty OBD Specialist main activities will be drawn from, but not limited to:

Legislation analysis

Analyse Legislation and provide guidance at a business and corporate level

OBD requirements derived from legislation like EOBD and ARB

Emissions requirements derived from legislation like European and EPA

Architecture and communication requirements like J1939 and KWP



Technical Leadership

- Guide and define architecture for fault diagnosis and fault management

- Ensure OBD requirement coverage across multiple customer projects

- Drive commonality of diagnostics and fault management

- Lead design reviews / FMEAs for implementation of OBD requirements

- Direction and review of diagnostic calibration and validation through lifecycle

- OBD certification documentation release to customer


External Interfaces
- Support project teams with activity scope and cost estimation

- Review legislative requirements within the clients OBD specialist group

- Lead technical review meetings with customer

- Represent Heavy Duty OBD

- Maintain the clients HD profile within the OBD community

As the OBD Specialist you will be educated to degree level with solid experience in an automotive embedded application field.

Proven experience in the decomposition of OBD / Legislative requirements.

Understanding of diesel application and associated fuel injection equipment
