A world leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets has a new opportunity for a Design Engineer - Interior Structures.
The role is commutable from Luton, N London, Aylesbury and Northampton.
A design engineer, reporting to either a Senior Design Engineer or Lead Engineer is responsible for the delivery of engineering designs and drawings, which meet the requirements defined by their task leader, whilst at the same time ensuring that the completed work package incorporates best practice in all areas.
Engineering degree or ONC/HNC in design related field and proven related experience with sufficient engineering capability and experience to create effective engineered solutions.
A working knowledge of the various methods of manufacture to be employed such as:
1.Machining
2.Casting
3.Vacuum forming
4.Injection moulding
5.Composite materials
6.Trim and finish
7.An understanding of the selection of appropriate hardware (fasteners etc)
