My client a leading manufacturing company based in Sheffield. The company supplies precision components and assemblies to the aerospace, power generation, speciality automotive and oil and gas industries
Job Overview
-Prepare detailed technical reports
-Design and prepare production routes
-Enquiry and contract review to determine manufacturing processes and capabilities
-Work with production team to maximise efficiencies within the manufacturing process
-Prepare methods of manufacture
-Customer liaison to resolve any issues
-Investigation of non-conformancies
-Assist cusotmers with external audits of the company
Skills and Experience Required
-Candidate should ideally be educated to degree level in Metallurgy or Materials Science or related discipline -- relevant work experience also acceptable
-Understanding of quality procedures in a manufacturing environment
-Candidates should have experience working with a variety of metals, including Steel and Nickel Alloys
-Understanding of inspection procedures
-Be able to work as part of a team and also lead teams on technical projects
