Electrical Engineer
Liverpool, Manchester, Crewe, Chester, Warrington

Our client designs and manufactures hydraulic systems and landing gears for the worlds aircraft. From design through manufacture to supply, service and support, repair and overhaul, their products are at the forefront of the worlds aerospace market.

This role is based in Cheshire, close to the M6 and M56 and is commutable from Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Crewe and Warrington.

As an Electrical engineer you will be required to perform various tasks that fall into three main categories: Conceptual and feasibility studies, detail design and manufacturing test equipment and procedures:

Conceptual design and feasibility
*Assessment of electrical technologies and incorporation into the clients products.
*Electrical actuation, instrumentation and sensors
*Understanding impact to product architecture
*Introduction of instrumentation and sensors onto client products.

Detailed design
*Creation of CAD drawings and/or Gerber files for electrical systems on new product developments
*Impact and requirements of aircraft systems to support electrical products
*Power loads, data signal interfaces and safety functions
*Specification of electrical equipment and test specifications for compliance with airworthiness requirements
*Evaluation of non-conformances to design acceptance criteria

Qualification and Manufacturing test equipment

Design documentation

You will have at least 5 years experience and/or 3 full product life-cycles in electrical engineering role (ideally in aerospace industry)
Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering
Experience with:
.Electrical actuators , dc brushless motors, power circuits, electrical harnesses, NI equipment and LabView programming, DSP, PLC programming, FPGA programming and circuit design (desirable)
.CADSTAR or equivalent E-CAD package. PCB layout, schematic design and manufacturing data production.
