Our client is a leading prestige automotive manufacturer, based in Oxford and they are currently seeking to recruit a HR Manager on a 12 month contract basis.

Reporting to the Manager HRM, the individual will be responsible for:

* Providing a comprehensive HR service to given functions / technologies in a proactive and strategic manner in line with business requirements.
* Supporting managers and employees in finding solutions for department- specific and individual HR issues.
* Working closely with Trade Unions
* Ensuring compliance with HR policy and legislation
* Participating in relevant circles, meetings, projects and working group


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

* Team Management (where applicable)
* Company Representation at meetings and cross functional circles
* Business Partner - provide support to and develop department regarding HR related issues.
* Liaise, negotiate and influence relevant partners, both internally and externally
* Oversee and take responsibility for Process Management activities
* Provide Management Information and Advice
* Performance Review and Development
* Contribute to and manage Projects
* Steer, implement and oversee organisational measures
* Responsible for dealing with Trade Union topics
* Planning activities
* Employment Legislation
* Change Management
* Assume responsibility for development of working structures

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

* Qualified to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent (e.g. Degree, Membership of Chartered Institution) preferably in an HR / Business Management related
* Project management skills
* German language skills
* Ability to handle pressure whilst solving problems and conflicts
* Highly developed communication skills
* Considerable business related experience required
* Employment law
* Highly developed ability to prioritise, assert and make decisions
* Experience of dealing with trade unions
* High level presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
* Understanding of MS Office and relevant IT systems
